2013 Healthy Living Expo 
Sunday, April 14, 2013

In collaboration with VELA, Garfield Bulldogs, St. Alphonsus, Healthy Start, the City of Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation, and Rose Hills, Bienvenidos presents a day of discovering new ideas for healthy bodies, habits, and lives. Event activities include free blood pressure screenings, arts and crafts, ideas for green living, and an American Red Cross blood drive.

The event will be held at Atlantic Park in East Los Angeles from 10am to 2pm. For more information, please call Bienvenidos at (323) 268-9191.

A Note from Ritchie

Dear Friends:
On February 28th, Bienvenidos held its 25th anniversary celebration–and what an evening it was!  With  George Lopez serving as emcee for the evening,  we were thrilled to:
  • honor Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa for his many years of public service and leadership;
  • entertain 450 guests, including many new to the Bienvenidos family; and
  • celebrate  our evolution over the past quarter century from a small service provider to a powerful change agent, now working directly with  more than 20,000 children and families annually.
The gala raised more than $150,000 after expenses, and this wonderful result was almost entirely due to the generosity of our sponsors, whom I am delighted to acknowledge:

The event also could not have been successful without the expert guidance of our event planner, Your Great Event.  Finally, I want to thank my Bienvenidos staff colleagues for their extraordinary contribution of time and energy leading up to and during the event.

While we are still basking in the afterglow of a truly memorable evening, we are already beginning to plan what promises to be our greatest casino night ever—so I hope you will mark your calendar for September 28.  Details to follow.
