LOS ANGELES, October 27, 2017 – Hillsides honored Assemblymember Chris Holden with an advocacy award for his legislative efforts concerning foster care and affordable housing at a ceremony and roundtable discussion held at Hillsides’ headquarters in Pasadena on October 23.

LOS ANGELES, October 26, 2017 – Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek was one of several local dignitaries to attend the 35th Anniversary and Open House of Hillsides Education Center (HEC) held on October 18 in Pasadena. Mayor Tornek presented the school with a city commendation and spoke about the positive change it has made in the community.   “I want to thank Hillsides for serving such a vulnerable population and one the city is not equipped to handle,” he said.  “The services it provides are invaluable.”

  LOS ANGELES, October 12, 2017 – Hillsides is pleased to announce that Cindy Macias has been named the senior director of Bienvenidos Foster Care and Adoption Services.  Bienvenidos is an affiliate of Hillsides.

LOS ANGELES, October 6, 2017 – The Ice House Comedy Club 57th Anniversary Show held on October 1 benefiting Hillsides raised more than $12,000  for the Southern California foster care charity. The evening, which included a silent and live auction, raised funds for a support group of Hillsides, the Hillsides Volunteer Network, which provides activities and field trips for the children who live in Hillsides’ Residential Treatment Services program.  The event also raised funds for Hillsides Education Center, a therapeutic non-public school, through a paddle auction.
